Hey My Photo on the cover of Photoshop User! SO COOL!!
I entered this image in the Photoshop World Guru awards last month in Boston.
I didn't win an award, but I did get a call from Felix Nelson, Creative Director for NAPP.
Felix wanted to use this shot on the cover of the magazine!
Thank you so much Felix!! I am so thrilled to have my shot on the cover of my favorite magazine!

Your cover pic is spectacular. It's great to see that your work is finally being recognized by a national publication. I hope this is just the beginning of greater exposure for you; you certainly deserve it. Your work has always been among the best I have ever seen.

It's been over 10 years and 2000 photographers and you are still,not only THE nicest, but one of the most talented photographers that I have met. When everyone was afraid of the 'Digital Age' you were on it.
The cover shot is fantastic but only one of your many phenominal shots!

Congratulations on having one of your fabulous photographs selected for the cover of my hero's magazine, Photoshop User. You're in the major leagues when one of the "gods" of Photoshop, Scott Kelby, mentions your work in his books, you win awards from NAPP and now he puts your work on his cover. I hope this is just the first cover of many Photoshop User magazines that will showcase your terrific work.
It was one of the highlights of my Photoshop life to share a classroom with you at Mac U in the six month course taught by John Geiger. The combination of Geiger's talent and teaching skills and your creativity, superb photography and Photoshop skills and always helpful attitude and encouragement was a highlight of that course. I often use the "glamour" trick you described during that course and which was later printed in a Kelby publication.
And to think you not only have all of this talent, a beautiful wife and family but are also one of the nicest people I've known ... Dave, you're the real deal.
I hope to see more of your work and techniques on your blog or in Photoshop User.

David, your stuff just blows me away. Your skin tones are such that all of the "experts" said would never be attainable with digital imaging. Just amazing. Keep it rocking. It's about time somebody woke up and noticed your skills.
Congratulations on the cover photo! It's fantastic. I think that you are one of the most interesting photographers around. You manage to make images of women that are always engaging to look at, with a quality that is double-edged: respectful of women as people (I say this as a feminist) yet at the same time highly tinged with eroticism. This is quite a rare achievement, since so often eroticism of women in photography makes the subject look cheap or tawdry, and somehow you manage to avoid that pitfall. It's quite remarkable. I love your sensibility and look forward to seeing more of your work. Best wishes!
I also wanted to mention how very imaginative your images are. As an artist myself, I know how hard it is to come up with visually striking, clever, and intriguing images--and you consistently do.

It is so great that your picture is on the cover! You deserve it! And your work is totally different. I would love to see some more of your pictures in there. So everybody can see the variety of them. It's just hard to say something about an artist seeing just one picture. Since I saw many of them I think it'll be great to share an art feeling you put in your work with other people.
And by the way. Dave, you are the best photographer to shoot with. And really best friend.

I work next to one of NAAP's Customer Account Reps for the US Postal Service. We are blown away by the June Cover of Photoshop. The Art begins with the makeup but it has to be captured in a magical way to make it to the public's attention. Dave Cuerdon has made this achievement. We hope to be seeing much more of his work in the near future.

I second the delight in being shown and using the "Glamour" trick (or as I decsribe it to friends" The Cuerdon Blur") before it's publishing debut.
